VIVIN brings again the Valentine’s Day Edition whole duck foie gras flavour, Strawberry & Rose Water.
The Strawberries are hand picked from the mountainous region of Samoeng in Chiang Mai where the weather is mostly cool and misty. The strawberries are cultivated and hand picked by Thailand’s northern hill tribe people.
It’s said by folklore the Strawberries fields have romantic origins stemming from the historical name “Sam Meung” (Samoeng), in Karen meaning “Aurora”, “The Goddess of Dawn by the Romans and “hanna yori dango” meaning dumplings before blossom (you’ve got to eat if you want to be romantic).
Rose Water is a flavoured water produced by steeping rose petals in water. VIVIN uses Rose Water of Persia, where since the ancient times, roses have been used medicinally and nutritionally as a source of aromatic perfumes and local sweets. Roses have a long tradition of being the symbol of love and romance.
The strawberries used in the foie gras are semi dried which make for a succulent, sweet and tangy flavour while the subtle and aromatic rose water of Persia compliments the wonderful fruitiness.
Remove from fridge and keep at room temperature (20°C to 25°C) for 5 min before tasting. Best served on fresh or toasted artisanal bread. Do not spread. Season to taste with freshly ground sea salt & black pepper.
Wine: dry or sweet white.
Raw Duck liver imported from France, salt, pepper. No preservative. Store in fridge at all time (+1°C to 5°C). Consume between 1-2 days after opening. Net weight: 110g.
